The kids started soccer in April and it has been fun and interesting. They like to kick the ball and play at home and when we practice, but when the game starts, it's all about cartwheels, pirouettes, and snacks. Mostly snacks. It seems like each game they get a little better. Mommy is coaching so it makes it a little hard when both twins are playing. One is usually trying to hold my hand and the other might be trying to run off the field for a Cheerio or to spin in circles in the corner. It's hard to keep a 3 year old interested. Thank goodness we have 2 players that have played before and like to score goals or else we would be in big trouble. Mommy likes to win. We are supposed to have a good attitude and not abide by a "winning at all cost" mantra. It's hard not to want to win. HARD. But they do keep score and there is a winner and a loser. THANK GOD. Learning lose is a great life lesson. Let's just not do it too often, okay? Enjoy the pics below from our 1st 4 games.
This is what Lili does most of the game. |
This is practice people. This is not what happens during the game. This is what we would hope would happen. |
The twins and Coach Mommy after their first game. |
Another shot of what really happens. Holding Coach Mommy's hand for an entire quarter. |
Cooperating during practice, of course. |

We spend a good portion of the game telling the kids to kick the ball the "other way"!!! We have scored numerous goals for the other team. |
Lili is not so sure. |
