Pumpkins and more

October is by far our favorite month of the year!  Pumpkins everywhere, the changing weather, fall decor, trick or treating, candy, all of the cute outfits the kids get to wear, and so much more to enjoy during the month!  We usually have an adult Halloween party, but this year due to another move (next week!), an upcoming trip to Vegas, and really no time to plan and decorate, we will have to postpone it until next year!   

We headed out to a pumpkin patch with our friend Karis and her mom Charline this week and I was able to snap a few photos of the kids.  They are still not the most cooperative little preschoolers when it comes to taking pictures, so the action shots will have to do.  Then we came home and played a little bit of pre-halloween dress up.  Lili put on her longhorn attire and Linc wore his cowboy boots and hat and we took a stroll.  They sure are cute!  

We will be spending the next week packing and getting ready for our 5th and final move of 2012.  What a year it has been!  The plan is to stay put for a while!  The problem is that our plans are always changing!  We shall see what the future brings!

Heritage Park Photos

The twins and I headed over to Heritage Park in downtown Katy today to check out the old buildings and do some research and test shoots for some future photos shoots.  This is such a pretty area and it is perfect for pictures... if your subjects will stay still!  I managed to get some great shots of Lili and Linc.  Well, mostly Lili.  Linc was busy collecting rocks.  Lili decided to pose for me for a split second in between picking flowers, so I have a few more shots of her than Linc.  Enjoy!

Perry Twins go to Preschool!

The twins started preschool a few mornings a week at the beginning of September and they have enjoyed it so much.  They have tried to stay out of trouble but in true twin fashion, they have already had notes sent home such as eating with too much food in their mouths, kicking a friend, attempting to bite a friend, biting each other, saying "no" too much to the teacher and peeing on a rug.  Now, one twin gets more notes home than the other (all but one note to be exact).  I'll let you figure out who you think that is!  We really do love their teachers.  They are so sweet and the twins love them.  They ask me every morning if they are going to school and I have to sadly tell them on most mornings that they are stuck with me.  Please enjoy the photos below of the twins on their first day of school and some more photos that we took on a few other days before school.  On some days I had to bribe them with very healthy marshmallows to pose, so you might see a few of those in the pics.  I have also included a few photos of our other twins, Roxi and Raven.  Happy October everyone!

Baking with the Twin Tornadoes

Linc has been begging to "make cake" for weeks now.  Today, after school, I finally gave in.  We made cupcakes and it was surprisingly fun!  The twinsies are getting quite helpful in the kitchen.  They are really good at cleaning up with their tongues:)  Enjoy the photos of the afterparty we had in the kitchen after mixing the cupcakes.  

Happy Half Birthday to us!

The twins are now 2 and 1/2 years old as of August 11th and they are getting cuter and cuter by the minute.  We decided because they share a birthday each year that we will try and celebrate their half birthday with a small family celebration each August to double the fun!  This year we made a cake and got them a few little gifts.  It was really a lot of fun.  It was the first time they really understood what "birthday" was and what blowing out candles was.  The following few days, Linc thought we should "make cake" like we did on their half birthday.  It's really all he talks about.  The cake and the obnoxiously loud toys we got them.  Linc got an airplane and Lili got a train.  They are the WORST toys ever.  Well, that's just my opinion.  If you ask them, they are the BEST toys ever.  They have not let go of them since they got them.  Linc even has his airplane sleep in his closet when he goes to bed (because we won't let him have that noisy thing in bed, a lesson we learned in hotel in Amsterdam when he stayed up until 3am playing).  Please enjoy the photos below from the past week.

Only way to paint - outside (less mess for momma to clean up), in the nude (less mess for the clothes), with the potty by our side (momma can sit instead of having to take kids inside to pee) in case of an emergency.  Hmmm... momma is sounding kind of lazy.
