Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo is a favorite holiday in the Perry household for many reasons.  It's our Grandpa Reynolds' Birthday, Momma was a Spanish major in college and is a little obsessed with Hispanic culture, and we really LOVE a good celebration.  Momma's friend Nicole was in town and she is obsessed with Mexican food, so it was the perfect day to have a Margarita (or 3) on the patio and listen to some great music.  The kids had a great time playing and eating their favorite food as well.  Enjoy our pics from the day.

Da Zoo

We have lived in HTown (well, right outside of htown) for almost a year now and it took us until now to visit the zoo!  Wow!  Nicole, who lives in Boston but is from Houston and is an old Camp Champions friend, is in town and we had a play date at the zoo today.   After a 2 hour trip to get there b/c of some misadventures and traffic, we enjoyed seeing lots of animals, especially the giraffes and elephants.  We have only been to the Austin Zoo and they don't have either there.  Enjoy the few pics we took!

Soccer... oyoyoy

The kids started soccer in April and it has been fun and interesting.  They like to kick the ball and play at home and when we practice, but when the game starts, it's all about cartwheels, pirouettes, and snacks.  Mostly snacks.  It seems like each game they get a little better.  Mommy is coaching so it makes it a little hard when both twins are playing.  One is usually trying to hold my hand and the other might be trying to run off the field for a Cheerio or to spin in circles in the corner.  It's hard to keep a 3 year old interested.  Thank goodness we have 2 players that have played before and like to score goals or else we would be in big trouble.  Mommy likes to win.  We are supposed to have a good attitude and not abide by a "winning at all cost" mantra.  It's hard not to want to win.  HARD.  But they do keep score and there is a winner and a loser.  THANK GOD.  Learning lose is a great life lesson.  Let's just not do it too often, okay?  Enjoy the pics below from our 1st 4 games.

This is what Lili does most of the game.

This is practice people.  This is not what happens during the game.  This is what we would hope would happen.

The twins and Coach Mommy after their first game.

Another shot of what really happens.  Holding Coach Mommy's hand for an entire quarter.

Cooperating during practice, of course.

We spend a good portion of the game telling the kids to kick the ball the "other way"!!!  We have scored numerous goals for the other team.

Lili is not so sure.

Cumpleaños Número Tres

Birthday #3 was a blast for the Twin Tornadoes!  We had a Cowboy/Cowgirl party in our backyard with pony rides, BBQ, and hay covering every square inch of our yard, which made for fun clean up.  It's hard to believe the twins are already 3!  They are soooo big!  It seems like just yesterday that we brought them home from the NICU.  Okay, not really, the 2's and 3's have drug on and they are a challenge, but the twins are still as cute as can be even with the fits and the whining and the naughtiness that comes with the terrible twos and the even more terrible 3's.  We are keeping them busy with swim lessons, soccer, and lots of bike rides.  This summer we have them going to a vacation bible school and a few camps and we plan on doing a ton of swimming.   Please enjoy the photos from their 3rd birthday party, a few from Valentine's Day, and one of that crazy Lili eating peaches off the street.

And this would pretty much sum up how it feels raising 2 and 3 year old twins so far...

March 2013

It's been a while since I've updated the twins' blog!  Here are some photos from March.  We went to Austin for Spring break and visited lots of friends and family and went to the rodeo.  We had a week full of Easter events and Lili and Linc loved every minute of it.  Momma, on the other hand, will be glad not to touch another plastic egg until next year:)  Enjoy the pics!
